About the CSCS White Card – Professionally Qualified Person (PQP)

The CSCS White Card – Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) is designed for members of CSCS-approved professional bodies working in professional, technical, or management roles within the construction industry. This card demonstrates that the holder is a current member of a recognised professional body and has met the required health and safety standards to work on construction sites. The card is valid for 5 years. It cannot be renewed. When it expires, you must submit a new application for another Professionally Qualified Person Card.

CITB Managers & Professionals / CIC Health & Safety Test

You must have passed either the CITB Managers & Professionals Health, Safety & Environment Test or the CIC Health & Safety Test within the last 2 years.

You must hold current membership of a CSCS-approved professional body at the appropriate membership level accepted by CSCS.

Card Validity

The CSCS White Card – Professionally Qualified Person is valid for 5 years. This card cannot be renewed. Once it expires, you must submit a new application for a new Professionally Qualified Person Card.

Accepted Proof of Membership

You can provide any one of the following: current membership certificate; current membership card (front and back); a recent letter or email confirming membership; a membership payment receipt; or a screenshot from your professional body’s online membership portal showing your active membership.

Important: Professional body membership must remain current. If your membership expires or is revoked, your CSCS card may be cancelled.
