About the CSCS White Card – Academically Qualified Person (AQP)

The CSCS White Card – Academically Qualified Person (AQP) is designed for individuals who have completed an approved construction-related academic qualification and are working in technical, professional, or management roles within the construction industry. Eligible qualifications include certain Construction Degrees, HNDs, HNCs, CIOB Certificates, and selected NEBOSH Diplomas and Certificates accepted by CSCS. This card demonstrates that the holder has achieved a recognised academic qualification and has the required health and safety knowledge to work in the construction industry.

CITB Managers & Professionals / CIC Health & Safety Test

You must have passed either the CITB Managers & Professionals Health, Safety & Environment Test or the CIC Health & Safety Test within the last 2 years.

Recognised Academic Qualification

You must hold an approved construction-related academic qualification, such as a Construction Degree, HND, HNC, CIOB Certificate, or approved NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate, and provide a copy of your qualification (and units completed where applicable).

Card Validity

The CSCS White Card – Academically Qualified Person is valid for 5 years. The card can be renewed before expiry, provided you continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
